Agave Validator-class No KYC

Solana node hosting, with an honest note on RPC

Solana is the most demanding chain on this list. We have one server that meets the published validator minimum, and we will not pretend our hardware covers a full RPC node. It is $210 a month, 10 Gbps, and you can pay in SOL or any other supported coin.

Straight talk

What we can host and what we cannot

The Solana documentation asks for 256 GB of RAM for a validator and 512 GB for an RPC node that keeps all account indexes. Our largest dedicated server has 256 GB, so:

  • A validator-class node: yes. That includes an unstaked node you use for your own transactions and data, and a staked validator if you bring the stake. The X-Large has four separate NVMe drives, which is how the docs want accounts, ledger and snapshots laid out.
  • A full RPC node with all indexes: no, not today. Some operators run RPC with fewer indexes on less memory, but that is outside the official guidance, so we will not promise it.

If another provider sells a Solana RPC node on a 128 GB or 256 GB machine, ask them which account indexes it carries.

Costs that are not hardware

A staked validator pays vote-transaction fees in SOL every epoch and needs enough SOL staked to earn them back. Those costs are yours and are unrelated to the server price of $210 a month. Read Anza’s operator guides before you commit.

Layout we suggest

Use one NVMe drive for accounts, one for the ledger, one for snapshots and keep the operating system on the fourth, or split the OS onto a partition. Check the current Agave documentation for tuning (kernel network buffers, file-descriptor limits) before you start the node; those settings change between releases.

Good to know

Who this fits

A good fit when

  • You run an unstaked or staked validator and need documented-minimum hardware
  • You want a 10 Gbps port without a contract or an ID check
  • You want to pay in SOL, USDT or Monero
  • You want four separate NVMe drives to split accounts, ledger and snapshots

Be careful when

  • You need a full RPC node: it needs 512 GB RAM, which we do not offer
  • You expect the server price to be your only cost: voting fees apply
  • You run a staked validator without monitoring: downtime costs rewards
  • You copy a tuning guide from an older release: re-check the current docs
FAQ

Solana node hosting questions

01Can I run a Solana validator on your servers?

Yes, on the Dedicated X-Large. It has two EPYC 9354 CPUs (64 cores, 128 threads), 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory, four 4 TB NVMe drives and a 10 Gbps port, which meets the published validator minimums.

02Can I run a Solana RPC node?

Not a full one. The Anza documentation asks for 512 GB of RAM for an RPC node that keeps all account indexes, and our largest server has 256 GB. We would rather say so than sell you a server that falls behind.

03How much bandwidth does a Solana validator need?

The Anza documentation asks for at least a 1 Gbit symmetric connection for an unstaked node and at least 2 Gbit for a staked one, with 10 Gbit recommended. Our dedicated X-Large has a 10 Gbps port.

04Can I pay for a Solana server in SOL?

Yes. SOL is one of the coins we accept, along with Bitcoin, Monero, USDT and others. See pricing for the plans and the billing-term discounts.

05Do I need KYC to rent a server for a Solana node?

No. You create an account with a generated login and need no ID, card or phone number. You remain responsible for what you run under our terms.

06Why only one Solana server?

Because Solana's requirements are higher than any other chain here and only one of our servers meets them. If your node needs more memory than 256 GB, tell us through a ticket and we will say honestly whether we can help.
