Your dashboard opens with the country, datacenter, specs, operating system and billing period already filled in. You set a password or SSH key, add backups if you want them and pay from your balance. If you are not logged in, the log in / sign up window opens first and brings you back to the same server.
Power, bandwidth and rack space cost different amounts in each country, so every location has its own price. Set the specs you want on one card and press "Same specs everywhere" to compare every country side by side.
The dashboard shows how much is missing and takes you to Top up. Your choices are remembered, so you can come back to the same order afterwards.
A plan is a ready-made combination (Comet, Meteor, Aurora and so on) for a quick start. Change any dropdown and the card becomes a custom build, priced by exactly what you picked. Both deploy the same way.
