How to Buy a VPS with USDT (TRC-20 and ERC-20)

Pay for a VPS with USDT: which network to choose, how to top up, how long it takes and the mistakes that lose funds. A stable-price way to pay with crypto.

USDT, or Tether, is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. For hosting it has one big advantage over Bitcoin or Monero: the amount you pay does not move while you wait for the transaction to confirm. This guide explains how to pay for a VPS with USDT, which network to choose and how to avoid the common mistakes.

Why pay with USDT

  • Stable price. A $10 plan costs about 10 USDT whether Bitcoin goes up or down that day.
  • Fast and cheap on the right network. On TRON (TRC-20) fees are usually very low.
  • No card or bank. You pay from a wallet. No billing address is required.

Which network: TRC-20 or ERC-20?

USDT exists on several blockchains. We accept both TRC-20 (TRON) and ERC-20 (Ethereum). The coin is the same, but the network matters, because the address and the fee differ. Read our comparison of USDT TRC-20 vs ERC-20 before you choose. In short: TRC-20 is usually cheaper, ERC-20 is more widely supported by some wallets and exchanges.

The steps in this guide, in order.

Step by step

  1. Create an account. One click generates your login. No identity form.
  2. Open Top up in your dashboard and choose the amount.
  3. Pick the USDT network. Choose USDT (TRC-20) or USDT (ERC-20) from the coin list.
  4. Send the exact amount to the address and network shown. The page also shows a QR code.
  5. Wait for confirmation. Your balance is credited once the transaction confirms.
  6. Order your VPS and pay for it from your balance. Browse VPS hosting plans to choose a size and location.

Mistakes that cost people money

  • Wrong network. Sending TRC-20 USDT to an ERC-20 address (or the other way round) can lose the funds permanently. Always match the network to the one shown on the top-up page.
  • Too little gas. You need a small amount of TRX for TRC-20 fees, or ETH for ERC-20 fees, in the same wallet.
  • Exchange withdrawal fees. Some exchanges charge a flat fee that is large compared with a small top-up. Check before withdrawing.
  • Sending from an exchange you do not control. Make sure your exchange supports withdrawals to the network you chose.

Is USDT private?

Not by itself. USDT transactions are public on their chain, and the issuer can freeze tokens. If payment privacy matters most to you, pay with Monero instead. If you just want a stable price without a card, USDT is a good fit. See all options on our page about buying a VPS without a credit card.
