Everything on OffshoreVps is paid from an account balance. You top the balance up with crypto, then spend it on servers, domains and renewals. This guide walks through the full process, with the mistakes that cost people money in the right place.
How the balance works
You add funds once and spend them as you order. Nothing is charged to a card. When a service renews, the renewal comes out of your balance, so keep enough in it before the renewal date. If the balance runs short, add more before the service expires.
Step 1: open the top-up page
Log in, open your dashboard and choose Top up. If you do not have an account yet, create one first. You only get a generated login, with no email and no name.
Step 2: choose a coin and an amount
Pick the coin you want to pay with and enter an amount in dollars. The page converts it to the coin amount at the current rate and creates an invoice with a deposit address.
Step 3: send the payment
- Copy the address and the exact coin amount from the invoice.
- Send from your wallet or exchange on the network shown on the invoice.
- Check the address after you paste it, and send the full amount including the fee your wallet adds.
Step 4: wait for it to confirm
The invoice updates once the network sees your payment, and your balance is credited after the required confirmations. Times differ by coin: seconds for Solana, minutes for Litecoin and Bitcoin, longer for Monero. See the coin comparison for rough speeds.
Step 5: order your service
With funds in your balance, go to VPS hosting, pick a plan and a location, and choose Deploy. The cost is taken from your balance and the server starts within minutes.
Common problems
- Sent a bit too little. Send the difference to the same address before the invoice expires.
- Used the wrong network. Funds sent on the wrong chain usually cannot be recovered, so double-check the network name.
- Invoice expired before you paid. Create a new one. If you already sent funds, keep the transaction ID and contact us.
- Payment is pending for a long time. A low network fee can delay a transaction. Wait, or raise the fee if your wallet lets you.
Keep a buffer
Top up a little more than the price of the service, so renewals do not fail on a small price change. Spend and monitor the balance from the dashboard.
