Litecoin is one of the cheapest and fastest coins for paying for hosting. Transfers are usually confirmed in minutes and network fees are small, so it suits small top-ups and monthly renewals. Here is how to pay for a server with LTC without losing money to a wrong step.
Why people pay with Litecoin
- Low fees. A normal transfer costs very little compared with Bitcoin or Ethereum on a busy day.
- Quick confirmations. Blocks arrive about every 2.5 minutes, so your balance updates quickly.
- Wide support. Most exchanges and wallets handle LTC.
Step 1: get some LTC
Buy Litecoin on an exchange or receive it from a wallet you already use. Withdraw to a wallet you control if you want a clean payment trail, then send from that wallet. Keep a little extra to cover the network fee.
Step 2: sign up and start a top-up
Create your account (a generated login is all you need), open the top-up page in your dashboard and choose Litecoin. Enter the amount in dollars. The page shows the exact LTC amount and a deposit address for that invoice.
Step 3: send the exact amount
Copy the address and the amount, and send from your wallet. A few rules prevent most problems:
- Use the address exactly as shown. Check the first and last characters after you paste.
- Send on the Litecoin network. Do not send a wrapped LTC token on another chain to this address.
- If you pay from an exchange, make sure the exchange adds the fee on top, so the invoice amount arrives in full.
- Do not reuse an old address for a new invoice.
Step 4: wait for confirmations
Your balance is credited after the network confirms the payment. This usually takes a few minutes. You can follow the transaction on a Litecoin block explorer using the transaction ID from your wallet.
Step 5: deploy
With the balance in place, pick a plan and a location and order from your dashboard. See the Litecoin VPS page for plans and the accepted coin list.
If something goes wrong
An underpayment leaves the invoice partly paid, so send the small difference to the same address before it expires. A payment sent after expiry may need support to match it. Keep the transaction ID and contact us with it.
